Causes of headaches

  With the changes in modern living habits and work styles, headaches are slowly becoming a common annoyance that plagues modern people. So what exactly are the causes of headaches?  There are many causes of headache, the common ones are: (1) myogenic pulling headache caused by cervical spine or shoulder disease or muscle injury; (2) migraine or cluster headache caused by intracranial vasoconstriction; (3) headache caused by elevated blood pressure (headache relieved by decreased blood pressure); (4) headache caused by pulling and squeezing of nerves containing nociceptive fibers caused by trigeminal neuralgia; (5) head and neck trauma caused by (6) headaches caused by intracranial tumors that squeeze and pull on blood vessels, soft meninges and other pain-sensitive tissues; (7) headaches caused by increased or decreased intracranial pressure (such as encephalitis, cerebrospinal fluid loss); (8) infectious headaches caused by intracranial infectious diseases (such as meningitis, HIV, etc.); (9) headaches caused by febrile diseases such as influenza and pneumonia, etc.  There are various causes of headache, so when treating headache, in addition to simple pain relief, it is necessary to clarify the cause of headache and treat the root cause of the disease in order to achieve the purpose of treating headache, and not to simply stop the pain leading to miss-treatment and mis-treatment.
