This disease can occur at any age, but more often in young people. The hair falls out suddenly and rapidly in patches, and the skin of the hair loss area is shiny, round or oval or irregular, as small as a fingernail, as large as a coin or larger, in varying numbers, with clear boundaries, and can be connected to each other in patches. There are no conscious symptoms in the hair loss area. Seborrheic dermatitis

The cause of this disease is unknown. It may be related to heredity, as there are often people in the same family who suffer from this disease; it may also be related to the imbalance of sex hormones, especially the increase of androgens, resulting in increased secretion of sebaceous glands, which may cause the normal flora present on the skin, such as Serratia marcescens and Acinetobacter, to multiply and invade the skin or cause some microorganisms, such as Acinetobacter, to break down free fatty acids and stimulate the skin. In addition, mental factors, dietary habits, vitamin B deficiency, and alcoholism also play a role in the occurrence of this disease. Dyed hair dermatitis

The cause of the disease is p-phenylenediamine in hair dyes. P-phenylenediamine is an amino dye, which polymerizes into a large molecule of black dye under the action of oxidizing agents and coupling agents to dye hair black. P-phenylenediamine is a semi-antigenic chemical with strong allergenic effect, which can stimulate the occurrence of delayed skin metaplasia. In addition to hair dyes, some hair darkening agents, h oil and chemical dyes also contain p-phenylenediamine. There is a history of hair dyeing before the onset of the disease, and there is a certain latent period for the onset of the disease. The lesions mainly involve the scalp, hairline, face, ears and neck. A similar rash can occur when the hair dye is carried to other areas by rinsing or contaminated hands. If there is a wound or rash on the scalp, it is not advisable to dye the hair for the time being; when dyeing the hair, try to avoid the history of hair dye staining the scalp and face. You can use alkaline shampoo or soap to thoroughly wash away the residual free hair dye after dyeing. If you have to be in contact with hair dye for occupational reasons, you should strengthen your personal protection and insist on wearing gloves at work.
Folliculitis of the scalp
Scalp folliculitis is a skin disease in which acute or chronic purulent inflammation occurs in the hair follicles of the head. The inflammation occurs at the mouth of the hair follicles or slightly below the hair follicles and forms small red papules and pustules at the mouth of the hair follicles, called superficial folliculitis, such as follicular impetigo. Inflammation of the entire hair follicle can develop from small pustules to larger abscesses, called deep folliculitis, such as simple folliculitis, balding folliculitis, and scarring folliculitis in the neck. Inflammation of the hair follicle invades the perifollicular tissues to form boils, carbuncles, and even cellulitis. The disease is mainly caused by staphylococcal infection, but other bacteria can also cause the disease when the body’s resistance is reduced, etc. Poor hygiene, scratching, immune deficiency, and diabetes can be causative factors. According to Chinese medicine, the disease is caused by internal dampness and heat, wind and poisonous evil, wind-heat or wind-damp-heat. If the body is weak and the positive is not able to overcome the evil, the disease will recur and be difficult to cure.
The initial rash is a small red papule of follicular origin, which soon forms small pustules and then dries and crusts, and heals after 1 week, usually without scarring. The lesions appear in batches, do not fuse with each other, and are itchy and painful. The disease tends to recur and often lasts from several weeks to several years. Folliculitis that results in the formation of small scars and no more hair growth is called balding folliculitis. Folliculitis that occurs on the collar and occipital area and fuses with each other to form irregular scarring nodules and hard lumps is called keloidal folliculitis of the collar.
Western medicine can be oral tetracyclines, such as minocycline hydrochloride; macrolides, such as clarithromycin; cephalosporins, such as cefuroxime, etc. Topical application of 2% mupirocin ointment, 0.3% ciprofloxacin ointment, 2.5% iodine tincture, etc. Chinese medicine can be taken orally, such as Danshenone capsule, naked flower purple pearl tablet, clearing heat and detoxification capsule, Lianxiao defeat poison pill. Topical ointment such as Longzhu ointment, Hibiscus ointment and Huatoxan ointment can be used. When applying ointment topically, it is better to cut the hair.
