1.Definition: varicocele is an abnormal elongation, dilation and tortuosity of the trapezius plexus in the spermatic cord. It is common in young adults. Left-sided onset is more common. It can cause infertility. 2, Etiology: venous valve hypoplasia; longer stroke on the left side; compression of the left renal vein by the aorta and superior mesenteric artery; compression of the left internal spermatic vein by the sigmoid colon. 3, infertility reasons: testicular temperature rises when varicocele; veins dilate and stagnate, CO2 accumulates in testicular tissues and lack of oxygen; blood backflow increases the concentration of catecholamines and cortisol in the adrenal glands. This affects the spermatogenic function of the testes. The affected side can affect the healthy side through the traffic branch. 4.Diagnosis: Ultrasound can confirm the diagnosis. 5.Treatment: If the semen routine is abnormal and there is a requirement for fertility, surgery is recommended. Surgery is divided into open surgery and laparoscopic surgery, the latter being less invasive and more reliable.
