What is artificial insemination and IVF? What do I need to prepare if I want to do it?

1.What are the requirements for IUI and IVF? Can I do it? Can I choose which one to do? The indications and contraindications of artificial insemination and IVF are introduced in a separate article. The choice of IVF, artificial insemination or IVF is based on the age of the couple, the number of years of infertility, the physical condition, the economic status, the patient’s wishes and other circumstances, and is determined after the final doctor-patient communication, rather than an arbitrary choice. 2.Can I choose twins? Can I choose a male or female?  In many cases, two embryos can be transferred for IVF. The specific situation needs to be determined by the doctor after a comprehensive analysis and final doctor-patient communication based on the age of the couple, the number of years of infertility, the physical condition, the economic situation and the patient’s wishes. Domestic STD selection is not yet available, if that place says to how many purse success, package birth boys, you have to be careful on whether to be deceived! 3, how much does it cost to do artificial insemination, IVF? Is the package successful? Medical treatment is not a commodity, not a product, and the costs incurred are different depending on the treatment each person needs to receive, so the cost can only be a rough estimate. The total cost of one cycle of IUI is several thousand to ten thousand RMB, and the total cost of one cycle of IVF is 20,000-30,000 RMB. The above costs are for reference only, as each couple’s condition is different and the costs are different. If the procedure is unsuccessful, will it cost that much more to do it again? The answer is no. In addition, if there are embryos of good quality in the early stage of IVF that can be frozen and stored, it can be done again by thawing and transferring them directly, which can also reduce a lot of costs. The cost of IVF is based on the specific treatment received, not the amount of money paid at once. All of the regular medicine is not to say that the package success, generally can provide the past success rate and expected success rate for your reference; domestic can not be selected for STDs, if the place said to give how many purse success, package birth boys and girls, you should be careful on whether to be deceived! A. Artificial insemination (AI) is an assisted reproductive technology that uses artificial methods to inject processed semen into the woman’s reproductive tract to make her pregnant, including husband sperm artificial insemination (husband’s sperm) and donor sperm artificial insemination (other people’s donor sperm). Indications for artificial insemination with husband sperm (AIH): ① male partner with few, weak or deformed sperm, sexual dysfunction, etc.; ② female partner with cervical factor; ③ immune infertility; ④ infertility of unknown origin. (Prerequisite: the female partner’s fallopian tubes are bilaterally or unilaterally patent). If the indications for AIH are met, the routine treatment time is about 1-2 months from the beginning of preparation to the end. IVF-ET is commonly known as the first generation of IVF, which refers to the use of ovarian stimulating drugs to make infertile women’s ovaries have multiple follicles at the same time, and to obtain mature eggs through vaginal puncture at the right time. The eggs are then fertilized in the laboratory with the husband’s sperm and cultured into embryos that are then implanted into the woman’s uterus for further gestation. Indications for IVF-ET: (1) tubal factors (blockage, hydrocele, absence or adhesions); (2) ovulation disorders; (3) endometriosis; (4) low or weak spermatozoa in the male partner; (5) unexplained infertility. If the indications for IVF-ET are met, the routine treatment time from the beginning of preparation to the end is about 3 months. ICSI, commonly known as the second generation of IVF, refers to a technique in which a single sperm is injected directly into the plasma of an egg under a microscope to fertilize the egg, which is then cultured into an embryo and transferred into the uterine cavity of the woman to achieve pregnancy. Indications for ICSI: ① severe oligospermia, weakness, malformation, abnormal sperm acrosome function, irreversible obstructive azoospermia (diagnostic testicular aspiration can find motile sperm), spermatogenic dysfunction (excluding genetic defects); ② immune infertility; ③ in vitro fertilization rate <30%; ④ preimplantation embryo genetic examination is required. If the indications for ICSI are met, the routine treatment time is about 3 months from the beginning of preparation to the end.
