For left temporal arachnoid cyst removal, there are two main modes: 1. The mode of opening the cranium to remove the arachnoid cyst directly is most commonly used in clinical practice, and the vast majority of patients take this surgical approach as long as they have normal cardiopulmonary function and are able to tolerate general anesthesia. After satisfactory general anesthesia the patient is laid on the surgical bed and the arachnoid cyst is visualized by incising along the frontotemporal hairline and opening the bone. Bipolar electrocoagulation and suction are applied in conjunction with each other to separate the cyst and then remove it, and basically the operation is over. Then the skull is placed and the scalp is sutured. 2. Some people who have poor cardiopulmonary function or are older can also be treated by puncture, which is a much simpler procedure. The skull is opened directly under CT positioning and a drainage tube is applied to be placed in the cyst for proper drainage, but it is prone to recurrence. So every treatment has certain pros and cons and must be judged according to the situation.
