What should a man do if he has weakness in urination?

Male voiding weakness is seen to have different etiologies, with a distinct age-specific etiology. Weakness of urination is associated with increased resistance to urination, decreased power to urinate, or both. A few common causes of voiding weakness are briefly described.

1. Prostate congestion and edema. The most important thing is that the prostate gland is full of blood and edema, when the resistance to urination increases and the weakness of urination occurs. This type of disease is common in young and middle-aged men.

2. Increase in prostate volume. The prostate gland can be enlarged by prostate hyperplasia and prostate cancer, which can cause increased resistance to urination by compressing the posterior urethra. This type of disease is seen in middle-aged and older men.

3. Impaired bladder contraction. Weakness in urination is caused by reduced power to urinate. Common causes include long-term dyspareunia bladder contractile dysfunction, impaired bladder contractile function due to various neurological factors (diabetes mellitus, pelvic surgery damaging the nerves associated with voiding).
