What method should I choose to remove the enlarged prostate?

There are many methods of prostatectomy, and the mainstream procedures in China currently include suprapubic transcatheter prostatectomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, and transurethral resection of the prostate. These 3 surgical methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. 1. Suprapubic transcatheter prostatectomy: The procedure is relatively simple and can be carried out in primary hospitals. The surgical results are good. The disadvantages are also obvious, as it requires a longitudinal incision on the pubic bone, which is more traumatic and bleeds a lot during the operation, and is more devastating to the patient after the operation. 2, transurethral resection of the prostate: also known as TURP, referred to as electrodesiccation. The enlarged gland is removed via the urethra using an electrosurgery scope. This surgery has the advantage of being non-invasive on the body surface, relatively easy to master, and is being widely carried out in some primary hospitals. However, it is relatively difficult to achieve complete removal of the gland along the prostate envelope, and when it cannot be fully mastered, many surgeons choose to leave part of the gland behind, so postoperative recurrence is more common. The actual fact is that, if you’ve got a lot of bleeding during the operation, you can easily damage the sphincter by mistake and cause post-operative incontinence when the view is not clear. The actual prostate gland is a very good place for you to get a good idea of what to do. The actual vaporization of the prostate gland is the use of physical energy such as laser and plasma electric cutter, along the prostate surgical envelope, using the warp of the mirror, combined with the physical energy of hemostasis and cutting, to remove the enlarged gland intact, and then push the whole prostate into the bladder, and then use the tissue crusher to crush the enlarged gland and suck it out. The procedure is similar to open surgery in which the surgeon uses his fingers to remove the prostate gland, but has the advantages of minimally invasive surgery with a non-invasive surface and clean open surgery. The procedure has the advantage of being minimally invasive and open surgery is clean and thorough. The bleeding is low and it is not easy to damage the urinary control sphincter, so the long-term postoperative improvement in urination is good and the patient recovers quickly with a high satisfaction rate. This procedure is one of the most satisfactory among all the current procedures. However, the surgical method is very complicated and only urologists with great experience in endoscopic surgery can master it perfectly, and it is not easy to carry out in primary hospitals. The choice between electrosurgery, plasmapheresis or laser resection depends on which physical energy your hospital is most familiar with. Laser and plasma excision are relatively effective in stopping bleeding, but laser and plasma excision are more expensive than ordinary excision.
