Recommended screening methods for cervical cancer: 1. Under 21 years of age: No screening required 2. 21-29 years of age: Cytology every 3 years 3. 30-65 years of age: Combined cytology and HPV test every 5 years Cytology every 3 years HPV test alone is not recommended 4. 65 years of age or older No screening is required if previous screening is sufficiently negative Note: Those with abnormal vaginal bleeding are not covered by the above recommendations. Any abnormal bleeding should be promptly seen by the obstetrics and gynecology department.
