Acne, also known as pimples, is a common skin disorder that occurs on the face and neck and is a serious threat to the patient’s appearance. Once you have acne, you need to seek medical attention as soon as possible. So, what are the early symptoms of acne? Here, let’s find out. 1, papules The most basic damage of acne. In the case of blockage of the sebaceous gland of the hair follicle, a hypoxic environment is formed in the sebaceous gland of the hair follicle, and anaerobic Propionibacterium acnes proliferates, decomposing sebum, producing chemotactic factors, and inflammatory papules occur due to the aggregation of white blood cells, so these papules are inflammatory damage. 2. Nodules On the basis of pustules, a large amount of keratinous material, sebum, and pus cells are stored in the follicular sebaceous glands, causing structural damage to the follicular sebaceous glands and forming red nodules high above the skin surface. There is a clear infiltration at the base with flushing and pressure pain when touched. 3.Blackhead acne The follicular sebaceous glands are clogged with keratinized material and sebum, and the openings are connected to the outside world, forming open acne, which appears to be large or small black spots on the surface. 4.Whitehead acne The mouth of the follicular sebaceous gland is blocked by keratinocytes, and the keratinized material and sebum fill it, and it does not communicate with the outside world, forming a closed acne, which looks like a slightly raised white head. 5. Cysts Nodules are based on the accumulation of a large number of pus cells within the structure of the sebaceous glands of the hair follicle. There is both pus, bacterial residue, sebum and keratinized material, and inflammatory infiltration. It completely destroys the structure of the hair follicle sebaceous gland and has a cyst-like sensation when touched, and pus and blood can be spilled when squeezed. 6.Powder tumor On the basis of cyst, all the contents of the follicular sebaceous glands gradually dry up and inflammation is reduced, forming greasy beanbag-like material. When the pressure inside the cyst is too high, small holes will be formed on the surface, from which beanbag-like or cheese-like material can be extruded. Touch it as a cystic tumor. 7.Pustules are the further development and aggravation of inflammatory papules. A large number of neutrophils in the sebaceous glands of the hair follicles gather and engulf Propionibacterium acnes to cause an inflammatory reaction. This condition is prone to scar formation after healing, mainly depressed scars. 8.Scars Scars are the most serious damage of acne vulgaris. The severe damage above the inflammatory papules is caused by the destruction of the dermal tissue and the repair of the connective tissue after healing, thus forming scars. Scars are a repair response of the body to tissue damage. When the damage to the skin reaches deep into the dermis, causing a large epidermal defect, the epidermis of the area cannot be regenerated and will be replaced by fibroblasts, collagen and proliferating blood vessels of the dermis, thus resulting in a scar. Once a scar is formed, it does not fade easily on its own.
