What is dual-targeted CAR-T therapy?

Two-target CAR-Ts are CAR-T cells that recognize 2 different tumor antigens on the surface of tumor cells. Theoretically, dual-target CAR-T cells could improve the overall efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy by increasing the tumor-killing effect and reducing recurrence due to tumor antigen escape.

Two-target CAR-Ts against CD19 and CD22, and two-target CAR-Ts against CD19 and CD20 are currently being used in clinical studies.
