How long can you delay the third dose of hepatitis B vaccine?

The third dose of hepatitis B vaccination is given 6 months after the first dose, and the third dose can be postponed for 1 month. Hepatitis B is a common infectious disease in China. In order to prevent hepatitis B, it is necessary to receive hepatitis B vaccination in a timely manner, which requires three injections, the second injection 1 month after the first injection and the third injection 6 months after the third vaccination, which may cause the body to produce protective antibodies against the hepatitis B virus. If the third vaccination is postponed for special reasons such as fever and other acute diseases, the postponement time should be extended by at most 1 month, otherwise the immunization booster effect will be significantly affected. One month after the three doses of hepatitis B vaccine, it is recommended to check the hepatitis B antibody and the quantification of the five hepatitis B items to check whether protective antibodies are produced and the level of antibodies, and whether the transmission of hepatitis B virus can be effectively prevented. After hepatitis B vaccination, if fever and rash appear, patients are advised to go to the liver disease department of the hospital for examination and treatment in a timely manner.
