The quadrivalent cervical cancer vaccine is effective for about 4-5 years and has a preventive effect for more than a decade. The quadrivalent cervical cancer vaccine is used to prevent infection with HPV 16, HPV 18, HPV 6, and HPV 11 viruses in women between the ages of 20-45 years. If a woman is married or sexually active, she needs to be screened for cervical cancer to rule out epithelial lesions before getting the quadrivalent vaccination. If HPV infection has already occurred, quadrivalent cervical cancer vaccination is not effective. Three injections are required for the whole course of vaccination, which are given in the zero, second and sixth months respectively, and the whole course of vaccination will have a preventive effect. The quadrivalent cervical cancer vaccine is not a lifelong immunity and regular cervical TCT and HPV screening are required after vaccination.
