What are the symptoms of motor neuron disease

The symptoms of motor neuron disease are not obvious in the early stage. As the disease aggravates, patients will show symptoms such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, progressive muscular atrophy, progressive medullary palsy and primary lateral sclerosis. 1. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: patients will experience awkwardness and weakness in one or both fingers, which develops into atrophy of small muscles of the hand, and then extends to the forearms and lower limbs, and finally to the face and throat, which leads to weakness of tongue stretching, dysphonia, numbness and other symptoms. 2. Progressive myasthenia gravis: manifested as stiffness and weakness of small muscles in one hand or both hands, atrophy, decreased muscle tone, weakened tendon reflexes, and so on. 3. Progressive medullary palsy: symptoms such as dysarthria, weakness of mastication, difficulty in swallowing, hoarseness, loss of pharyngeal reflexes. 4. Primary lateral sclerosis: manifested as symmetrical weakness and stiffness of both lower limbs, which gradually involves the upper limbs, increased muscle tone of the limbs, and scissor gait. If patients have the above symptoms, they need to go to the hospital in time to prevent the disease from progressing.
