Management of thyroid nodules

According to the nature of thyroid nodules, they are mainly divided into the following types for treatment: 1. tumor nodules: malignant tumors require surgery, microscopic thyroid cancer requires treatment plan according to patient’s will and doctor’s examination results, benign thyroid nodules are recommended for surgery if they produce pressure symptoms; 2. hyperplastic nodules: surgery is not recommended in general, but is required if the patient has a goiter behind the sternum, thyroid nodules combined with hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules produce pressure symptoms (such as difficulty in breathing, hoarseness, difficulty in swallowing, etc.); 3. inflammatory nodules: conservative treatment by internal medicine.
