It can affect people of all ages, but the incidence is higher in adolescents. Acne is clinically classified into degrees I-IV according to its severity using the Pillsbury classification, and there are many types of acne. Therefore, there is no optimal treatment for acne, and treatment needs to be based on the condition, type, and patient’s physical condition to choose the appropriate method. The principles of treatment are mainly lipid removal, dissolution of keratin, sterilization, anti-inflammation and regulation of hormone levels. 1. General treatment: In daily life, pay attention to washing your face with water and clean your face well, especially for cosmetic acne. Carefully remove makeup after using cosmetics, use less oily cosmetics, and avoid squeezing and scratching acne with your hands. At the same time, you should avoid spicy and stimulating foods as much as possible, eat less high-fat and sugary foods, and eat more fresh vegetables, fruits and vitamin-rich foods. Pay attention to rest, reduce the frequency of staying up late, work and rest moderately, and correct constipation. And to prohibit iodine, bromine drugs, etc. 2, drug treatment: can be divided into topical drugs and systemic drug treatment. The lighter ones can be treated with topical drugs only, such as retinoic acid, antibiotics, etc. Systemic drugs include antibiotics, isotretinoin, anti-hormonal drugs, glucocorticoids, etc. Anti-hormonal drugs such as diane35 are suitable for patients with increased acne lesions before menstruation. The use of medications should be based on the condition of the patient and should follow medical advice. In addition to the above methods, other treatments such as phototherapy (which works mainly to destroy Propionibacterium acnes and reduce inflammation) can also be used to treat acne.
