The recovery of fever in a few days in patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia requires a patient-specific approach and cannot be generalized. Some patients present with only low-grade fever and mild malaise without pneumonia manifestations and mostly recover after 1 week. However, it is worth noting that severe and critically ill patients can have moderate to low fever or even no significant fever during the course of the disease. However, severe cases tend to develop respiratory distress after 1 week, with rapid progression to acute respiratory distress syndrome, septic shock, uncorrectable metabolic acidosis and bleeding and coagulation dysfunction in severe cases. Cure takes relatively long time. Therefore, from the cases admitted so far, the fever in patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia resolves in a few days, depending on the patient’s specific situation, but most patients have a good prognosis.
