What diseases to look for when your child says his legs hurt

The child said leg pain should be alert to growing pains, calcium deficiency, osteosarcoma, leukemia and rheumatic fever and other diseases.
1. Growing pains: Growing pains are a normal phenomenon in the developmental stage of a child’s body. Bones grow fast, especially the long bones distributed in the limbs. But muscle growth is relatively slow, in the bone growth and stretching, will stimulate the surrounding muscles, inducing growing pains, can be manifested as leg pain.
2. Lack of calcium in the body: when the calcium intake in the child’s daily diet is insufficient, it will lead to lack of calcium in the body, which can’t satisfy the development of bones, thus leading to leg pain.
3. Osteosarcoma: Osteosarcoma is a kind of malignant bone tumor which occurs in adolescents as well as children, and it can invade the surrounding tissues, and its main manifestations are different degrees of pain, limping, fever, weight loss and so on. When osteosarcoma occurs on the leg, leg pain can occur.
4. Leukemia: due to the massive proliferation of tumor cells, bone marrow expansion, pain after the periosteum is strained, especially below the knee joint, which is often misdiagnosed as arthritis. Clinically, it is often accompanied by other manifestations such as fever, pale skin and bleeding.
5. Rheumatic fever: the disease is due to joint pain caused by streptococcal infection, localized redness, swelling and heat pain, causing leg pain.
Children say that leg pain should be taken seriously, to the regular hospital for consultation, to be identified, if the pathological factors should be standardized treatment under the guidance of the doctor, so as not to delay the condition.
