Gout correct treatment and life conditioning

The proper treatment of gout is to reduce the frequency of acute gout attacks and to keep uric acid levels up to standard. Life conditioning mainly includes mental and dietary conditioning. The treatment of gout is not limited to the rapid relief of joint swelling and pain in the acute stage, but to keep the blood uric acid level low in the long term. If the diagnosis of gout is clear, the treatment plan should be made according to different stages of the disease. If you are in the acute phase, rapid relief of joint symptoms is the main treatment purpose, and you can use non-steroidal anti-inflammatory painkillers, colchicine, glucocorticoids, etc. Because hyperuricemia is the basis for the development of gout, simple elevation of blood uric acid may not have any discomfort performance and is easily ignored by patients. During an acute attack of gout, the severe pain will impress the patient to actively cooperate with the treatment. However, as the pain subsides, gout patients tend to take it lightly, thinking that the disease has been “cured” and thus no longer take medication. However, acute treatment is only part of gout treatment, but intermittent and remission uric acid treatment is the key to reduce the frequency of recurrent acute gout attacks, prevent the formation of uric acid stones and reduce organ damage. Therefore, in addition to relieving joint swelling and pain in the acute phase, uric acid reduction therapy is more important for gout patients. In the intermittent and remission phases, uric acid-lowering therapy is the key, and it is necessary to use uric acid inhibitors or uric acid excretors. For patients who already have gout stones or kidney complications, treatment is also required depending on the extent of the condition. In addition to proper treatment, patients with gout also need to take care of their lives, including mental and dietary regimen. In terms of mental conditioning, patients should have a correct understanding of the disease, eliminate fear, establish confidence in treating the disease, and understand the importance of following medical advice and regular follow-up. In terms of diet, we should insist on a low purine diet, drink more water and keep the bowel movement smooth. Therefore, the correct treatment of gout and life conditioning are very important to patients and are the key to ensure the stability of the disease.
