Cerebral cavernous hemangioma is essentially a malformed blood vessel mass in the skull. The severity of cavernous hemangioma is judged according to the presence or absence of symptoms.
1. Asymptomatic cavernous hemangioma: Conservative treatment can be carried out without surgery for the time being, regular follow-up is needed, and if the condition worsens, surgery should be carried out in time to remove the cavernous hemangioma.
2. Symptomatic cavernous hemangioma: If cavernous hemangioma causes symptoms such as epilepsy, neurological deficits and recurrent hemorrhage, and it is an intracerebral hemangioma, it should be surgically removed immediately.
Especially for children and cavernous hemangiomas within the brainstem, the brainstem is the life center of the human body, and when the brainstem is compressed and ischemic, the patient can show signs of vital signs disorders at a very early stage, which can seriously jeopardize his/her life safety.
For patients with cavernous hemangioma, they should go to the neurosurgery department of regular hospitals immediately, so as to avoid delaying the condition and causing serious consequences.
