In general, novel coronary pneumonia is usually asymptomatic during the incubation period. Since the incubation period of patients with novel coronary pneumonia is mostly 3-7 days, with the majority of patients having a maximum incubation period of no more than 14 days, individuals should self-isolate and be placed under medical observation when there is a history of close contact with a confirmed or suspected patient. If symptoms such as fever, dry cough, malaise, or diarrhea, runny nose and nasal congestion occur, prompt medical attention is required.
