What are the causes of osteoporosis?

  According to Chinese medicine, the root cause of primary osteoporosis is kidney deficiency and essence deficiency, while some patients suffer from acquired deficiencies, such as weakness of the spleen and stomach, insufficient biochemistry of qi and blood, or the lack of regulation of the spleen and stomach due to damage caused by the wanton consumption of thick food. Some patients also suffer from paralysis of the meridians due to frequent exposure to wind, cold, and dampness, or due to blockage of evil qi, or due to deficiency of positive qi, resulting in phlegm and stasis secondary to pathogenic factors.
