  The causes of diarrhea include infectious diarrhea and non-infectious diarrhea, among which infectious diarrhea is common, with viruses and bacteria being common pathogens that can lead to intestinal dysfunction, increased frequency of stools, and irregularity.  Patients with diarrhea accompanied by stomach pain are most often caused by gastroenteritis due to infection, and can be accompanied by nausea, vomiting and other symptoms, and even fever, fatigue, poor appetite, generalized aches and pains, etc. At this time, the routine stool examination indicates infection, and if it is a bacterial infection, the culture may have positive results. If the stool is yellow and dilute, it is mostly due to rotavirus, enteric adenovirus, etc. If the stool is purulent, it is also necessary to be alert to the occurrence of bacterial dysentery, E. coli infection; antibacterial medication is needed. In addition, non-infectious causes such as cold, allergens, and toxic stimuli can lead to diarrhea with stomach pain. If the diarrhea is characterized by bloody or black stools, it is important to check for the occurrence of gastrointestinal bleeding, especially gastroduodenal ulcers.  There are many causes of diarrhea with stomach pain. Once the above symptoms appear, it is necessary to observe the color and nature of the stool, and if necessary, improve the blood and stool routine tests, and make appropriate treatment according to the test results.
