What are the survival rates for osteosarcoma?

Osteosarcoma is indeed a highly malignant tumor. The mortality rate is high. However, thanks to the advent of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, especially at adequate doses and with rational regimens, survival rates have improved significantly, reaching about 70%. Osteosarcoma is statistically treated by counting the 5-year survival rate. With the most scientific and rational treatment, the 5-year survival rate of osteosarcoma can be more than 70%, and patients who live more than 5 years in turn have more than 90% chance of possible long-term survival. Empirically, the likelihood of recurrence and metastasis is greatest within 2 years after treatment of osteosarcoma. If there is no recurrence and metastasis within 3 years, it is basically possible to control it. However, the risks of chemotherapy for osteosarcoma are also significant.
