Can targeted therapy be used for squamous lung cancer?

Most of the squamous cancers are related to smoking, because tobacco is the main cause in the pathogenesis. In case of squamous carcinoma, the success rate of targeted therapy is very low. If the previous chemotherapy is ineffective, targeted therapy gene testing can be done, and if there is a mutation in the test, targeted therapy is highly recommended, while if there is no mutation in the test, most patients can be said to be more than 95% ineffective. Of course, the efficacy will be seen after about three weeks of use.
