Can intermittent claudication heal on its own?

Intermittent claudication is not usually self-curing and requires regular treatment to effectively improve the patient’s symptoms. It is commonly associated with two major conditions, namely arterial disease of the lower limbs and lumbar spine disease. Both of these conditions can only improve with standardised treatment from vascular surgery and orthopaedics, and neither is often self-reversible and therefore not self-resolving.
