Condyloma acuminatum, also known as acromegaly, genital warts or venereal warts, is a warty proliferative disease caused by human papilloma virus infection and is one of the most common sexually transmitted diseases.
Etiology.
The pathogen of this disease is human papillomavirus (HPV), which is a DNA virus. The only natural host for HPV is humans. There are more than 60 known types of HPV, of which HPV 6, 11, 16 and 18 can be sexually transmitted and cause condyloma acuminata. HPV is easy to grow and reproduce on the surface of the human body, in moist and warm areas of the skin and mucous membranes, such as the external genitalia and the perianal area. HPV is mainly transmitted through sexual contact, but infection can also occur through mother-to-child transmission or indirect contact.
Clinical manifestations diagnostic points.
A history of infection, most have extramarital sexual contact or spousal infection history, a few can be infected through contaminated items or mother-to-child transmission.
The incubation period, l months to 8 months, an average of 3 months.
The typical damage is a soft, light red papule, which gradually increases in size and size, and some of them can be fused to form papillae, coronary, or cauliflower-shaped superfluous organisms.
In females, it is the labia majora and minora, vaginal opening, vaginal wall, clitoris, cervix, urethra day, perineum and perianal area, occasionally it can occur outside the genital area.
Self-perceived symptoms, about 70% of patients have no self-perceived symptoms, a small number of patients have epidemic itching or burning pain, vaginal and cervical damage can cause increased leucorrhea, bleeding during sexual intercourse.
Differential diagnosis.
A, flat warts, flat elevated papules, surface moist, syphilis seropositive, dark field microscopic examination can be found syphilis spirochetes.
Third, penile pearly papules, the size of a pinhead along the coronal sulcus, with a pearl-like luster of yellow-white, dark red papules, uniform in size, not fused, sometimes in the foreskin on both sides of the groove also have l to 2 the same papules, vinegar white test negative.
Fourth, Bowen-like papulosis, the lesions are red or dark brown rash, maculopapular rash, acid white test negative, pathological changes for Bowen’s disease-like changes.
Ectopic sebaceous glands, the lesions are yellowish-white granule-like papules, no conscious symptoms, pathological examination is mature sebaceous gland tissue.
Genital cancer, the lesions are hard and the swelling is obviously infiltrated to the deep. It is easy to ulcerate and heal easily.
