As of today, there are no specific antiviral drugs for novel coronaviruses. The main clinical treatment measures are based on isolation and rest and appropriate symptomatic treatment. Both suspected and confirmed cases should be effectively isolated to avoid cross-infection. Specific therapeutic measures for confirmed patients include bed rest, enhanced nutritional support, attention to water and electrolyte balance, monitoring of vital indicators, and effective oxygen therapy if necessary. Treatment with available antiviral drugs, such as alpha-interferon nebulized inhalation or oral lopinavir/ritonavir, can be tried. In the absence of tangible evidence of bacterial infection, the use of broad-spectrum antibiotics is not recommended. In critically ill and critically ill patients, on the basis of symptomatic treatment, active prevention and treatment of complications and prevention of secondary infections, as well as support of respiratory and circulatory function, and admission to the ICU for monitoring and treatment if necessary.
