Lifestyle interventions are given when blood pressure is at a critical level, such as weight control, reducing fat intake, diet mainly low salt and low fat diet, reducing the intake of cooking oil, eating less fatty meat, meat skin or animal offal, fried and greasy food. If patients smoke or drink alcohol, they should quit smoking and limit alcohol consumption. If the patient smokes or drinks alcohol, stop smoking and limit alcohol consumption. Increase physical activity by jogging or taking a long slow walk, reduce the stress of life and work, and keep a happy mood. If the patient still has dizziness and headache after lifestyle changes, the patient can be given a small amount of antihypertensive medication.
