What is nodular cystic acne?

Nodular cystic acne generally refers to clinical nodular cystic acne, which is the most severe type of acne and is classified as severe acne. It is the most severe form of acne, and is usually caused by the failure to treat and control the development of acne in a timely manner. In nodular cystic acne, the rash is mainly in the form of papular nodules of varying sizes, and sometimes cysts may form, which may be discharged with pus and blood after breaking down. The disease usually occurs on the face, chest and back, and occasionally on other areas. If the inflammation is significant, it can often cause significant pain and tenderness. Nodular cystic acne is often caused by repeated infections on top of acne and inflammatory papules, which gradually worsen. Patients can be treated with oral retinoid drugs such as Avium capsules under the guidance of a doctor; they can also use topical retinoid creams such as erythromycin gel with isotretinoin and retinoic acid cream; they can also use local injections of glucocorticoids, such as compound betamethasone injection, to promote the fading of lesions.
