Which scoliosis is not suitable for brace treatment?

Bracing is the primary and most reliable method of non-surgical treatment for scoliosis, but not all scoliosis is suitable for bracing, for example: 1. Most congenital scoliosis is poorly treated with bracing. 2. Juvenile scoliosis with an angle of more than 40 degrees should not be treated with bracing. 3, scoliosis with combined thoracic anterior convexity should not be treated with bracing because the brace will aggravate the anterior convexity deformity and further reduce the anterior and posterior diameter of the thoracic cavity. 4. Brace treatment is not recommended for patients and uncooperative parents. If the scoliosis progresses rapidly during brace treatment and exceeds 5 degrees per year, the brace is proven to be ineffective and should be treated surgically.
