Cataract IOL life span

The life span of a cataract IOL is supposed to be lifelong. Currently, even if a child has a cataract and has surgery, the IOL can remain in place until old age without replacement. It can also be understood that the IOL is materially lifelong and there should be no problem. There are some special cases that may require IOL replacement, but these cases are also rare, that is, some IOLs may become cloudy after being placed for a long time, and if this happens, the patient may see things in a blurred state, and then the IOL may need to be replaced to restore the visual function, but this is a very rare case.
