Symptoms of Yin Deficiency in Women

Yin deficiency in women is mainly manifested by symptoms such as five heart-heat (heat in the hearts of the hands and feet, and self-consciousness of the heart and chest), hot flashes (bursts of heat), night sweating (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, but sweating stops after waking up), zygomatic redness (reddish color of the cheeks and zygomatic bones), dry mouth and throat, and red tongue with little moss. Yin deficiency can be seen in a number of organs and tissues, and its symptoms also vary. 1. Lung yin deficiency: manifested as dry cough without sputum, or sputum is small and sticky, not easy to cluck out, or sputum with blood, hoarseness, severe loss of voice, dry mouth and throat. 2. Heart yin deficiency: manifested as heartburn, palpitations (rapid heartbeat, often accompanied by panic), insomnia, dreamy, dry mouth and throat, emaciation, or feel hot hands and feet, hot flashes and night sweats, flushed cheeks. 3. Liver yin deficiency: headache, dizziness, dry eyes, blurred vision, irritability, or vague burning pain in the ribs, facial heat or flushing cheeks. If the manifestation of yin deficiency occurs, the clinician should be consulted and the medication should be administered according to the doctor’s prescription.
