How long can an adrenal tumor live?

The survival period of adrenal tumor varies from person to person, depending on the benignity and malignancy of the tumor, its stage and grading, as well as the early and late detection, patient’s physical quality, treatment effect and other factors. Adrenal tumor is caused by the proliferation of local tissue cells in the adrenal gland, which is more frequent, but it is generally benign, while malignant adrenal tumor, i.e. adrenocortical carcinoma, is less common. Usually, if the tumor is benign, it is recommended to remove it by surgery in time, and regular review after surgery will not affect the patient’s life expectancy; if the tumor is early malignant and no metastasis or infiltration has occurred, the survival period of 5 years can reach 80%-90% through surgery; if the tumor is in the middle or late stage and metastasis and infiltration have occurred, the survival period will be relatively lower, and to some extent, it is also related to the patient’s physical quality. To some extent, it is also related to the patient’s physical quality. After surgery, patients with adrenal tumor need to pay attention to wound care, pay attention to light diet, and keep their mood relaxed.
