Abstract: The patient was seen for 3 months for vulvar discomfort and 1 week for vulvar redundancy. Examination showed normal vulvar development and multiple protrusions with cauliflower-like changes were seen on the right lateral labia majora, and the patient was informed of a history of impure sexual intercourse after consultation. After diagnosis, the patient was finally diagnosed with the infectious disease condyloma acuminata. The patient was then treated with vulvar excision, and the vulvar redundancy was completely removed without any signs of recurrence.

I. Initial consultation
The patient visited the clinic for 3 months for vulvar discomfort and 1 week for the discovery of vulvar redundant organisms; at the time of consultation, the patient was in poor mental condition and slightly fatigued. However, because the symptoms had not been cured before, the patient still had many worries and therefore came to the clinic in order to clarify the cause and treat it thoroughly. The patient was admitted to the hospital with “vulvar redundancy, to be investigated”. The patient was poor in spirit, normal in urine and stool, and no significant change in weight.
Treatment history
The gynecological examination showed that the patient’s vulva was developing normally, and multiple raised redundant organisms were seen on the right lateral labia majora, with cauliflower-like changes and no obvious tenderness. Four tests for infectious diseases were performed to exclude syphilis and AIDS. TCT of the cervix was performed, suggesting inflammatory changes, no intraepithelial neoplasia or malignant tumor cells were seen.
The patient was advised to change bad lifestyle habits, keep the vulva clean and abstain from spicy and irritating foods. The patient was advised to undergo vulvovaginal excision to remove the lesion and to clarify the cause of the lesion and to exclude contraindications to surgery.
The patient was given cefoperazodone tazobactam sodium for injection to prevent infection. The postoperative pathological results showed squamous epithelial papilloma hyperplasia with vacuolar changes in some of the cells.
III. Treatment effect
After surgery, the patient’s vulvar discomfort disappeared, there was no abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding. On the 6th day after surgery, the patient’s vulvar incision healed well without redness, swelling, heat and pain, and the blood routine, liver function and kidney function were normal. The patient was given recombinant human interferon a2b gel for episiotomy to treat HPV infection, and her condition is now stable and discharge was granted.
After surgical treatment, the patient’s vulvar redundancy was removed, thus improving the patient’s vulvar discomfort, itching and other symptoms, the patient’s quality of life was also improved, the prognosis was improved, and further deterioration of the disease was successfully prevented, which can be considered a more successful treatment, which is also the situation we as doctors would like to see most.
