Recently, our department successfully treated a case of advanced liver cancer. Over the years, based on the treatment of a large number of liver cancer patients, the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery has summed up effective treatment plans, and according to the different types, degrees and ages of liver cancer patients, we adopt different surgical plans, which can also achieve good results. For some advanced hepatocellular carcinoma patients who cannot be resected surgically, the director has adopted the combination of “percutaneous femoral artery cannulation embolization chemotherapy” and “percutaneous liver puncture with anhydrous alcohol injection” in the department, firstly, under the surveillance of x-ray angiography machine, we apply Firstly, under the supervision of X-ray angiography machine, “percutaneous femoral artery cannulation embolization chemotherapy” is applied, firstly, the micro-catheter is sent to the tumor blood supply artery, and high concentration of chemotherapeutic drugs and embolic agents are injected to block the tumor’s nutritive vessels and “starve” the tumor, and then “percutaneous liver puncture anhydrous alcohol injection” is applied. The tumor is then “starved out” by applying “percutaneous hepatic puncture anhydrous alcohol injection” to the tumor, and the tumor is directly destroyed locally. This method has achieved good treatment results for many patients with advanced liver cancer. For patients with more than two tumors and hepatic insufficiency, this combined treatment method has two advantages: firstly, we can confirm whether there are more than one tumor under the imaging monitor before arterial embolization, in other words, whether there are “missed molecules” that we did not find beforehand, so as to make sure that all the tumors are destroyed at one time; secondly, we can stabilize the tumors by embolization first. The second is to stabilize the tumor by embolization to reduce the spread of the tumor, and finally to destroy the tumor by percutaneous injection of anhydrous alcohol. This treatment also resulted in surgical resection with minimal pain and shock to the patient.
