Recurrence rate after liver cancer surgery

The recurrence rate of liver cancer after surgery is very high, close to 80%-90%. Liver cancer is the king of cancers, because the blood supply of liver is richer, which leads to easy recurrence and metastasis of liver cancer. For small liver cancer and micro liver cancer, the cure rate is relatively high, between 60%-80%. For giant type and multiple liver cancers, the cure rate is below 10%, so the cure rate of liver cancer is very low and the recurrence rate is high. Usually, patients with liver cancer have the possibility of recurrence even if they change their liver source, that is, undergo liver transplantation. Therefore, for liver cancer, preventive measures must be given early and liver protection must be increased so as to reduce the recurrence rate.
