Screening methods for bladder cancer

The examination methods for bladder cancer include the following: 1) routine urine examination: it can detect hematuria with the naked eye or microscope; 2) urine exfoliative cell examination: it mainly examines whether there are bladder tumor cells in the urine sediment and whether there are antigens or nuclear matrix proteins specific to bladder tumors; 3) in situ fluorescence hybridization: it can detect changes associated with bladder tumors; 4) X-ray examination: it includes plain film and intravenous urography; 5) photodynamic diagnosis: fluorescent cystoscopy or cystoscopy with carrier wave imaging; 6) others: urological ultrasound, CT and MRI of bladder.
