Patients can distinguish between Kidney-Yang and Kidney-Yin deficiency through clinical symptoms, tongue manifestation and pulse under TCM diagnosis. For example, patients with kidney yang deficiency have a pale and fat tongue, white moss with teeth marks and water slippery; patients with kidney yin deficiency have a red tongue or less moss. 1. Clinical symptoms: kidney yang deficiency, the majority of factors body yang deficiency or prolonged illness, loss of excessive, old age due to the weakness of the kidney yang qi insufficiency of the disease. Can lead to cold limbs, cold, spirit, shortness of breath and wheezing, lumbar and knee weakness, impotence, spermatorrhea, more urine at night, tongue pale fat, moss white and thick, pulse is slow, two feet of pulse is weak. Kidney yin deficiency, mostly caused by injury to the essence, fluid depletion, or acute febrile illness depletion of kidney yin, symptoms such as lumbago and fatigue, dizziness and tinnitus, spermatorrhea and premature ejaculation, dry mouth and sore throat, two cheekbones flushed, heartburn and heat, or hot flashes in the afternoon, and so on. 2. Pulse: Sinking, thin and weak pulse in patients with kidney yang deficiency, and fine pulse (pulse becomes narrower, thinner and faster) in patients with kidney yin deficiency. It is recommended that patients distinguish between Kidney-Yang and Kidney-Yin deficiency under the TCM diagnosis, so as to avoid the negative consequences of self-judgment errors.
