Amniocentesis cannot diagnose fetal tricuspid valve-related diseases, and ultrasonography should be performed if it is necessary to determine the presence of tricuspid valve-related diseases.
1. Amniocentesis: i.e. amniocentesis, which is applicable to pregnant women above 16 weeks of gestation, obtains fetal cells or DNA for genetic examination by extracting amniotic fluid for the diagnosis of genetic diseases, but cannot diagnose fetal tricuspid valve-related diseases.
2. Prenatal diagnostic ultrasound: it can detect the fetal heart, cranial brain, genitourinary system, skeletal system, etc. It is a common method to detect whether the fetal structure is abnormal or not, and it can be used to assist in judging the development of fetal heart, but it can’t be equated with clinical diagnosis and pathological diagnosis.
