How can I prevent gum growth with braces?

Patients should pay attention to maintain good oral hygiene and actively control plaque on the tooth surface to prevent gum growth caused by inadequate oral cleaning during orthodontic treatment.
Suitable brushing tools such as orthodontic toothbrushes and gum brushes should be selected. Patients are advised to brush their teeth with a double-row soft-bristled toothbrush, inserting the toothbrush at a 45° angle into the upper and lower part of the brackets to effectively remove soft scale from the tooth surface and bracket crevices. If the patient has a history of allergies themselves, they should inform their doctor in a timely manner before orthodontics.
