How should encephalitis be treated?

The treatment of encephalitis varies depending on the cause of the disease, and generally includes antiviral therapy, anti-infective therapy and symptomatic supportive therapy.
For example, anti-tuberculosis drugs are used for tuberculous meningitis, antifungal drugs such as fluconazole are used for novel cryptococcal meningitis, and prothiimidazole is used for deworming cerebral cysticercosis.
