Most vomiting is caused by the anesthetic drugs used during surgery, and everyone reacts differently. For more severe vomiting, your doctor may give you antiemetic medication.
When vomiting, you should be careful to keep your head to the side to prevent aspiration of vomit into your lungs, and use the palm of your hand to apply light pressure to the wound to prevent bleeding from vigorous neck movement.
