Can cold diarrhea recover on its own?

Cold diarrhea, i.e. diarrhea caused by cold in the stomach and intestines or by improper diet, usually recovers on its own. Cold diarrhea is mainly caused by a weak stomach or intestinal dysfunction, and is more likely to occur in people with irritable bowel syndrome, mainly because the environment in the intestine is very sensitive and fragile, and when the abdomen is cold, it will trigger an internal environmental imbalance, resulting in spasm of the intestinal smooth muscle and an increase in the active secretion of fluid, which will be rapidly excreted out of the body without timely absorption. Usually, most patients can recover on their own after adequate warmth or abdominal massage and other care for cold diarrhea. Patients with cold spleen and stomach and frequent diarrhea must do a good job of keeping the abdomen warm, pay attention to dietary regimen, try to eat less spicy and stimulating food, drink more hot water, and ensure a good lifestyle habit.
