Don’t yell at each other! Chinese medicine fans and Chinese medicine black people

The two camps are so disparate that TCM fans are often seen as brain-damaged by TCM blacks, but are TCM blacks also brain-damaged? In fact, whether Chinese medicine is effective does not need to be controversial, if it is ineffective without the need for Chinese medicine black people shouting to eliminate Chinese medicine, Chinese medicine has long disappeared. The crux of the matter is why TCM works and how to prove that it works. Chinese medicine has a whole set of theories, and why it works can be explained by its theories, but the theory of Chinese medicine is still at the philosophical level, and the combination with modern science is not close enough, so Chinese medicine is probably considered not a modern sense of science, which allows Chinese medicine black people to use the name of science to attack a lot of holes. But is medicine a pure science in the modern sense? This question requires the TCM hacks to sink their teeth into it and give it some serious thought. People are very complex, as human beings with the current so-called “scientific” method to completely study itself clearly is a constant pursuit but never completed, once this task is completed the human race itself should be extinct. Modern medical research methods pursue a logical cause-and-effect relationship, which requires the exclusion of various interfering factors in order to confirm. However, in reality, the development of disease cannot be a single-factor cause-and-effect relationship, and the influence of mental and social factors on human health cannot be ignored, but the exclusion of these factors (the so-called placebo effect) is the basic principle of evidence-based medical research. Because of the problems of evidence-based medicine, various clinical guidelines have been changed in a few years, and many young doctors follow the guidelines and apply them mechanically without knowing the specific situation and giving patients the most suitable individualized treatment plan (evidence-based treatment). With the advent of the era of big data, there may be opportunities for research in TCM, without grouping, without double-blindness, without excluding various “confounding factors”, one real patient, collecting all the data (physician, medication, psychological, social, dietary, exercise, individual, etc.), and then conducting big data analysis, can we obtain a basis for TCM Can we get a basis for whether and why TCM is effective?
