How long can you live with advanced cervical cancer?

Cervical cancer is a malignant tumor that occurs in the cervix of women. Patients with advanced cervical cancer can survive up to 3-5 years after active treatment. However, it is not absolute, and the exact length of life depends on the patient’s personal health and the degree of cooperation with treatment. When cervical cancer reaches advanced stage, the cancer cells have metastasized to other organs and the common manifestation is irregular vaginal bleeding, which may even cause anemia if the bleeding is heavy. For advanced cervical cancer, which is not suitable for surgery, usually young patients with better health can adopt integrated radiotherapy and chemotherapy to delay the disease; if they are older and physically intolerant, they can be given radiotherapy, chemotherapy or palliative treatment. Overall speaking, when cervical cancer reaches advanced stage, its treatment effect is usually poor, and patients’ life expectancy is usually 3-5 years, or even shorter in severe cases. In addition, during the treatment period, patients should maintain a good attitude, face life positively and have confidence in overcoming the disease, which will be of great benefit to the recovery of the disease. At the same time, they should pay attention to eating more highly nutritious food in order to improve the body’s immunity and resist the development of the disease in order to prolong the survival cycle.
