How many degrees of myopia will be blind

Usually, myopia does not lead to blindness, but myopia causes vision loss mainly because of high myopia, which causes lesions in the fundus of the eye and can lead to irreversible vision loss. Irreversible vision loss occurs mainly in patients with high myopia, that is, patients with more than 600 degrees of myopia. If the degree of myopia exceeds 1000, the probability of high myopia fundus lesions is very high, such as peripheral retinal degeneration, macular neovascularization and macular degeneration, all of which may lead to irreversible vision loss. If retinal detachment occurs, it may lead to loss of visual field and significant vision loss. All of these lesions may lead to permanent loss of vision and, if treated aggressively, are not likely to result in blindness. If not taken seriously and treated accordingly, they can lead to blindness in later stages of development.
