Can low estradiol make you infertile?

Nowadays, there are many factors that lead to infertility in women, and many of them also refer to estradiol levels to ask if it can affect pregnancy. Low estradiol does not usually lead to infertility. In the six sex hormone tests, which include estrogen, the main content of estrogen is estradiol. However, a woman’s ovaries secrete estrogen and progesterone, and with the changes in the menstrual cycle, usually after the menstrual period is clean, the level of estradiol is also low, and as the follicle grows and develops, estrogen is also elevated, so that the lining of the uterus also grows and thickens. So if the rest of the menstrual cycle is monitored and is within normal limits, pregnancy is usually not affected. If the estrogen is low, the endometrium grows slowly and thins, and hormonal cyclic therapy is needed. The causes of infertility are multifaceted and require systematic examination and treatment to detect, so it is not possible to rely on low estradiol alone and say that you are infertile. It is not only the woman’s factor, but there may be a male factor as well. In women of childbearing age, estradiol also changes with the menstrual cycle and does not usually cause infertility. If indeed estrogen is extremely low and promotes endometrial growth that is also slow and endometrial growth can be thin, hormonal cyclic therapy is needed.
