The food is light, can reduce the food fire; desire light, can reduce the heart fire. If the food fire and heart fire are not born, the disease will not come. It is advisable to be wide to maintain a wide heart. As the saying goes, a wide heart can tolerate, a quiet heart is safe. If people can be tolerant of others, broad-minded to things, can reduce many worries. The Yellow Emperor’s Classic of Internal Medicine says: “sadness and sorrow is the heart, the heart is moving the five internal organs are shaken.” The Vajra Sutra says: “There should be nothing to live in, and the mind should be born.” It can be seen that health should be the first priority to be generous heart. It is appropriate to move often said: “Life lies in movement”, the purpose of exercise is to promote the circulation of blood. Chinese medicine believes that “the flow of blood, it is not a hundred diseases.” However, exercise also varies from person to person, in general, health exercise should not be excessive, you must choose a suitable exercise method, and to develop an orderly movement. If you move too much or do not move on time, it will consume the body’s qi and blood. In addition, patients with insufficient yang energy or taking yang tonics are also not recommended to exercise vigorously to avoid depleting too much yang energy, which is not conducive to disease recovery. It is advisable to be quiet. “Nourishing health is in movement, nourishing the mind is in quiet. People who are not suitable for strenuous exercise can recuperate quietly. Quiet recuperation is to nourish the heart and brain. The ancients said, “Quiet refining essence, nourishing life in nourishing the heart.” The method of nourishing the heart, meditation is most appropriate. Through meditation, can make the balance of yin and yang, meridians unblocked, smooth blood, so as to achieve the purpose of longevity. The method of meditation is very simple: sitting, head and neck straight, lower jaw slightly closed, back straight, two shoulders down, the whole body relaxed, closed eyes and closed mouth, tongue against the palate, two hands crossed on the abdomen, eliminate distractions, slow abdominal deep breathing, intention to keep the Dantian, Xu Jingnu. This can be done at any time of the day, and patients with chronic diseases are recommended to meditate twice a day for half an hour each time to nourish their vital energy.
