Focus on the treatment of diabetic foot

Diabetic foot is a pathological state of tissue destruction of the foot or lower extremity in diabetic patients, which is the result of a combination of lower extremity vasculopathy, neuropathy and infection. All layers of tissue from skin to bone and joints can be involved, most commonly foot ulceration or gangrene, and in severe cases, amputation is required. The main clinical manifestations of diabetic foot are skin color change, cold limbs, pain or resting pain, intermittent claudication, other symptoms as neuropathy, sexual dysfunction, etc. The development of intermittent claudication in diabetic patients indicates the occurrence of lower limb ischemia, which should be actively examined for early diagnosis and treatment. When toe necrosis occurs, it is already in the late stage of diabetic foot. The age of onset of diabetic foot is early; the arteriosclerosis of lower extremity is extensive; the arterial outflow tract is poor; and the incidence of ischemic necrosis of foot is high. The arteries of the lower extremities are commonly calcified, mostly with bead-like changes. The distal outflow tract is poor, and most occlusions occur within a short period of time after arterial bypass. The advantages of interventional technique for diabetic foot, DEEP slender balloon treatment for diabetic foot: 1, has a high rate of narrow occluded segment passage. 2.It can dilate fine arteries of 2 mm in diameter. 3.Can dilate long segments of occlusion and stenosis of more than 20 cm. 4.Good flexibility of balloon, not easy to cause arterial tear. 5.It has good soluble and can dilate 2-3 arteries at the same time. Emphasis on the drug treatment of diabetic foot. Advantages of Beraprost sodium tablets for diabetic foot: 1. Anti-platelet activity 2. Anti-thrombotic activity 3. Vasodilatation 4. Mildly increase heart rate 5. Increase blood flow 6. Reduce triglycerides 7. Inhibit vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation.
