How to treat menopause

Treatment of menopause includes comprehensive treatment and medication. Comprehensive treatment includes psychological guidance, lifestyle modification and appropriate exercise. Menopausal women should maintain a positive and optimistic attitude, eat a diet rich in protein and minerals, especially calcium, and reduce and avoid the intake of carbonated beverages and coffee. Pay attention to the combination of work and rest, avoid the stimulation of tension and exertion, ensure sleep, and choose the right amount of sedative drugs if necessary. Develop the habit of outdoor exercise, increase sun exposure and exercise. Most women can go through menopause smoothly with the above methods. For women whose symptoms are not effective with the above methods and seriously affect their daily life, if there are no contraindications to drug treatment, they can choose drug treatment, i.e. hormone supplementation. Contraindications to hormone supplementation include a history of breast cancer, coronary arteriosclerotic heart disease, venous thromboembolism, stroke and active hepatitis. Medication is aimed at relieving menopausal symptoms and improving a woman’s standard of living. It is highly effective for hot flashes, emotional instability, depression, genitourinary tract symptoms and sleep disorders, and is safe for short-term application, but long-term application carries the risk of breast and endometrial cancer. In conclusion, maintaining a positive attitude after entering menopause and timely comprehensive treatment or medication can help to smoothly go through menopause.
